*Frequency downloads are available from our website for the RE2000Alpha, UNIDEN SC200, UNIDEN SC230, UNIDEN BC95XLT and RADIO SHACK models Pro 83, 84, 79 & 89 scanners with appropriate software or FFC special programmer software. (See Accessories section of this site for software for Uniden models)

Radio Shack models require Scancat Lite-Plus software (available for Windows including Vista) and the correct Radio Shack programming cable. Visit www.scancat.com to purchase the software (available as a download online or by mail). Check your owner manual for correct interface cable for your scanner. Radio Shack stocks these cables with both serial port (20-289) and USB connection (20-047). Many more RS handheld programmable scanners, including the now popular Pro 99 can be programmed with the Scancat Lite-Plus software. Our downloads includes alpha tagging with driver names if your model accepts alpha tags. (We are currently working to expand Radio Shack models.)
